5 Tips to Survive Divorce: Divorce Chronicles

Updated: Jun 23, 2023

Hey Alex play Sis, you a bad Bitch by Shariya Wise

I feel like a few clear-cut guidelines would have really helped my ADHD brain have a plan of action for how I was going to get through my divorce. So I decided to create a few and share them with all you ladies dealing with some bullshit right now!

Here are my 5 Tips for Surviving Divorce:

1. Self-Care, but really:

attention, awareness, focus on what you are doing. Actually, feel your cup filling as you do things you truly enjoy.

>>>You may want to numb the pain, I promise though, that will bite you in the ass! We are here now, you are on this journey for a reason, and we are (yes,we) going to raise your vibration so you can become who you truly are!

>>>Maybe you like primping or working out or knitting, whatever you enjoy, start there.

*I decided to pick up a new hobby as the beginning of my divorce so I could be productive in between

2. Start Therapy:

here's your sign, Love. I am telling you it's okay, I give you permission! This is a choice that will keep you as sane as possible when your mind is being mean to you!

3. Journal:

in a notebook, online, talk to text on your phone or just voice memos- you are going through a metamorphosis Queen and trust me releasing your thoughts onto the page is very therapeutic. This is your own personal way to see the growth that is happening! Not only is it great to just get emotions out but you will also be able to more easily decipher the triggers and traumas you have so you can be less of a red flag when you're in your next relationship!

4. Dance:

rock out! find music that empowers you and hypes you up and bust a move! Jump up and down, head bang, twerk, whatever your little heart desires

>>>"you suck" music would be okay

>>>Last Resort by Papa Roach, probably not helpful here

Personally, I love steel drums or Cuban club music to get the hips moving.

5.Chocolate Icing:

maybe strawberry or vanilla if that's your vibe!

I am not directly condoning emotional eating or eating disorders, but sometimes, right in the thick of it....when your heart aches and you're so stressed that you're not hungry and you're needing that release of tears that chocolate icing can be good for the soul!

>>>I love sprinkles for the added crunch but you do you Boo!

*please only do this if you have no health issues that would be affected*

Obviously when dealing with divorce there are a roller-coaster of emotions happening. I want you to know that it is okay, everything you're feeling! Now, I know that these 5 Tips alone are just the tip of the iceberg, but I need you to trust me here: >>You are going to come out 1,000x better at the end<< this is an event happening in your life to create the next level version of yourself. The person you've always wanted to become is ready to look you in the mirror! Please check out all of the resources I have on my page, services and tools that you can use to channel the best version of yourself!

So much love and light to you,
